I finally made time to get my lower claws clipped.

Yes--I had a pedicure. I go to the salon in WalMart. It had been quite a while, but the woman who usually does my toes was up to it. They've got the equipment to cope with the increasing thickness of ageing toenails.

When I got home I was greeted by two smiling faces--anticipating food, of course. (Spots and Little Goldie)

I sat on the front porch while Little Goldie ate, and I think I got some halfway decent pictures of her on my phone.

(Ten years ago that sentence would have made no sense whatsoever.)

The other day I put a pan of water on the porch, in case the assorted late night diners wanted a drink.

Not a good idea--either they washed their hands before they ate, or they dunked their food.

Either way, it was a minor mess.

Weather continues hot, but it is, after all, the middle of July.

The weather maps don't look too encouraging regarding rain, but rain can be a very mixed blessing. The humidity skyrockets.

And that's about it regarding the non-stop excitement in my life.
