Another IUD.

And it was a hot one.

I didn't get much done that required any degree of activity.

I did do bill-paying and checkbook updating.

And I realized that debit cards play havoc with keeping an up-to-date check register. It's not the effort of recording these things--it's that they tend to take up so much room that the check register is full before it's time to get more checks.

I checked Office Depot on the off chance that they might sell them, but they don't. (At least at the one I went to.) The sales person and a couple of other people understood and sympathized--guess they've run into the same problem.

I like to have the current balance right there in front of me--and not have to access the account on line to see what it says.

My next stop on this will be at my bank, when I am not in a snarky mood. I'm also going to check out whoever it is I order checks from, and see what they say.

I haven't seen Little Mama for a couple of days. I'll bet she's given her kids the slip and is off on a personal vacation of peace and quiet.

That's about what happened last year--the mother took off when the kids were more or less self-sufficient.

And, of course, this year at least one of them came back to the land of plentiful food.

Hot again, but then it's July. So far, at least, no rain to cool things down a bit.

And the mail had my Saints tickets!! They were in a plain envelope and nowhere did it say "Saints" on the outside. YD can't go with me to the first pre-season game--there is a wedding shower for her youngest step-daughter that evening.

So--today was pretty much an ordinary day. That beats a day with multiple crises any time!
