The neighbors to my west are ideal.

The woman is an EEG tech (or something like that) and this is her second marriage.

The man is on again-off again retired, but I think he's working at the moment.

There's a gate between our yards, and we know the names of each other's cats. We each have a one-time "feral" cat. The two started out hanging around my house, then Spots ended up being captured and adopted by me. Not too much later Stripe was captured and she adopted him.

YD is otherwise family-occupied this evening, so I offered the Saints tickets to the neighbors.

They wanted to pay, but I said no. Then I called and said it would cost them after all--I really needed the fluorescents in the garage changed, since none of them were really working. And I didn't think I had any more.

Not a problem.

Not only did they change the lights, but they checked all the others.

And Terry (the woman) said she LOVES to use their riding mower and would come knock down some of my higher weeds.

I am incredibly grateful, and I hope they have a great time at the game.

I shall be relaxed on my couch, sans the upper torso undergarment, watching it from home, where the cokes are not outrageously priced.

(And I can see again when I go into the garage.)
