And that's why I'm posting early.

It's the last of the preseason games.

Today was a typical blah day (IUD), although the weather was quite nice. Not oppressively hot or terribly humid.

In the afternoon I made it out to WalMart to get the usual things--critter food and some stuff for the human.

I didn't get very much else, because there were no motorized carts available. AND--for some unknown reason they had removed all seating from the area just inside the door. I would have waited if there had been a place to sit.

So I took myself to the customer service desk and pointed out the problem. I doubt it will do much good, so I may write a letter--perhaps to Bentonville. (headquarters)

And then I got the absolute essentials and headed home.

I wonder how long this weather will hold. Judging by the extended forecast, probably most of the week.

Another rig in the Gulf blew today. Thank heavens it's nowhere near as bad as the last one.

And the Atlantic is busy with three (I think) hurricanes. At the moment, one looks headed for the Carolinas. Cross fingers, please.

And, cross fingers for the Saints tonight.
