Saints game, as usual. I watched at home and the tickets went to a single mother with a teenage son. (Singles can adopt--one parent is vastly preferable to the alternative.)

It was a close game, but the Black and Gold pulled through, aided by the 47 year old foot of the kicker just (re)hired.

When the game was over I headed for Walgreen's for more of the white stuff that comes on rolls. I was down to half a roll, and that is Not Good. Not only that, the brand I was using didn't have all that much on the roll to start with. Now I'm OK.

The usual guests came for supper. One of the mamas looks to be done with nursing--no longer are the teats large and swollen, but have almost disappeared.

There is a pathway across the side yard that has been worn down. There's still green stuff (grass etc.) but it's matted down.

I almost forgot about the Sunday paper, but when I headed out for the store I spotted it in the paper tube. When I got home I read it, although the content is getting to be less and less.

They quit their weekly TV guide after Katrina, so if I want to figure out what's on TV in the evening I have to dig out the daily paper for it.

I could go to an online site, but that's not exactly the most convenient way to get the information. I have the basic cable service, which does not include the channel with the schedule. Whatever.

As it cools down a bit the cats are getting more and more cuddly. And they take full advantage of a sleeping human body for warmth. I don't mind--the warmth is a mutual exchange.

And as it cools down I am more and more inclined to get at household tasks, such as a very thorough cleaning. Today I washed the jalousie window on my main door. It had a lot of dust and dirt on it from being open most of the time for the past five or six months.

And my regular windows also need cleaning--they're awning windows which are very good at accumulating dust and fine dirt.

At least the weather is a pleasant temperature.
