Finally made it back into work, and (as I expected) my various files were waiting for me.

I got a fair amount done on them and am now anxious to get back there tomorrow and keep on plugging away.

These are from alumnae files and cover a wide range of topics. At the moment I seem to be in the middle of reunion announcements and correspondence.

It's nice to get back to work.

My commutes were uneventful--traffic as usual, and almost no slowdowns.

The exception came on the way home, when some a truck or two had a problem at the top of the High Rise (tall bridge over the Industrial Canal) on I-10 that slowed outbound traffic to a crawl for a couple of miles.

Some drivers are so stupid. The radio told of the slowdown, and which lanes were involved, but (as usual) many of the drivers waited till the absolute last minute to move out of the affected lane. Once past the bottleneck the traffic evened out and the rest of the drive home was essentially smooth sailing.

I swung through the Popeye's driveup window and got a shrimp sandwich. It was good, once my mouth accomodated itself to the spices.

My cats wanted to know why they had been abandoned for more than eight hours!! They forgave me when I put down their dinners.

Unless it is pouring rain tomorrow, I'll be gone again and they will just have to cope. The boy cat is being extra friendly this evening.

At the moment, both cats are within reach of me and the computer. CC is on the papasan, curled up on an edge of the down sleeping bag, while Spots is curled up behind me, head on the "leopard" pile slippers.

We've had only a couple of cool days and/or cold nights, and I'm ready for spring already.

I need to check when winter break begins at Tulane.

Back to the idiot box.
