Had a really good night's sleep and got some little stuff done around the house.

I also did a big load of wash. Finding only Sunday (holey) underpants in the drawer is generally an incentive to do laundry.

In the afternoon I headed for the main post office to mail a package. This one has a do-it-yourself weigh-and-calculate-postage machine. It also sells you stamps, provided you have a credit card. A great way to avoid the lines inside, or to buy stamps/mail packages after hours.

The branch post office near me doesn't have one, but they seldom have really long lines.

On the way home I stopped at Walgreen's for a couple of items of drug store stuff--and some miscellaneous food items. They have just about everything there, including (of course) a wide selection of Saints clothing and related stuff. It's sort like the old-time general store.

I have a semi-sleepy cat on either side of me--both within petting reach. I guess this is (for them) the family room. It doesn't hurt that I keep a couple of little bags of cat treats in here.

Good heavens--I just looked at the calendar, added 7 to today's date, and realized that Christmas is just a week away. I guess I should give a little thought to buying gifts. Of course, if I waited till the "original" gifting day (arrival of the three Kings (Epiphany)) I could get stuff at a tremendous bargain.

Time to zone out with TV.
