Weather was pleasant, and I had to go into New Orleans for an appoiontment.

No problems on the drive. (Translation: neither speeders nor slowpokes were in my drive area.) Well--the Hwy 11 drawbridge was open, but that was a relatively minor delay at that hour. Plus I got there just as the gates were opening up for traffic.

No traffic tie-ups in the areas where the levees are being raised and a whole lot of other stuff associated with levee raising is going on.

I've been watching the football game that got postponed because of snow this past weekend. It's been fairly close, and the commentators are giving lots of miscellaneous information about the subtleties of passing etc. One of the teams--the Eagles--gave a quarterback job to the former Atlanta Falcon who recently finished up a three year prison sentence for dog-fighting. I sure hope he learned something while in prison.

I think I can manage to stay at home (or in the immediate area) for the next few days. Hope so--I'm almost in the mood for some house tidying. (And I can't can't use the heat and humidity for an excuse.)
