That's how long it took for the platelet donation tonight.

The poor staff members--they'd been on the go non-stop all day. Nothing like a sick child to get people to give donation a try.

Today's "goody" was a box of nice chocolates--a heart-shaped box.

(Wonder how many guys will save some money and trade a pint of red stuff for a box of brown stuff for a girlfriend?)

My cats were very glad to see me come home, and are within three feet of me to be sure I'm home to stay.

Tomorrow I must run the vacuum around (while it is plugged in, of course) and tidy the place somewhat.

And look to see what I have around for a breakfast Saturday morning. I shall probably need to head out for WalMart fairly early to stock up.

This afternoon as I headed for home I spotted a sign saying that the I-10 ramp to Slidell was closed.

This translated as being on surface streets. I used to know all the street names and route, but I hung on heading generally east till an on-ramp appeared. I was not the only person wondering what the problem was.

Anyway, I'm tired now, and I need to check that the candy is not old and stale.
