It was an uneventful day--which can be quite satisfying when you have a commute on interstate to get you where you are going.

And I got a fair amount done on the current collection.

Tomorrow is The Luncheon.

First big decision: what to wear.

I'm pretty sure dress is NOT optional. (Too cold without clothes.)

I don't think diamonds are appropriate for daytime, but that's okay--the only diamonds I have are argyle socks.

The only non-unremarkable part of my day was my last-minute decision to get my car inspected on the way home. I just noticed about a week ago that it was due this month, so I swung past the "station" (a former gas station) and took care of that. I think "perfunctory" is the correct term.

Next stop was a real gas station. If I had waited to get gas tomorrow morning I would have been majorly unhappy--the station I usually stop at on the way in to N.O. is now closed. (I discovered that on my way home.)

When I got home I was greeted effusively by the cats--especially the boy cat who, when it comes to food, is a bottomless pit. (Just like a teen-aged boy human, I guess.)

I plan on going in tomorrow at my usual time--it's called Finding a Place to Park that isn't several blocks away. I shall remember to tuck a pain pill in my bag for after I get to work. That should oil the hips etc. enough for the two block walk to the university president's house mansion.

This evening? The usual--have the TV on. If it's boring do crosswords or read.

And pet cats.
