I didn't have a good reason for going anywhere today, and I didn't. The furthest I wandered from my front door was the 150 feet or so to the road with the mail and paper boxes.

I brought the two "good" trash barrels back to the patio and put fresh (Hefty heavy duty from Sam's Club) bags in them. About once every four or five weeks I have two barrels filled. My "deal" with the picker-upper is two barrels once a week. If there's some reason for a bunch more, there's no quibble. Usually I have just one.

The cats' energy levels were about like mine and we all spent a quiet day. Spots wanted extra lap/nap time, and I obliged him.

Weather was pleasant--a bit warmer than the last few days, but that makes it better for Carnival.

Another day has about gone by--and it's another one where my cats have been my only conversationalists (so far) today.

That's fine with me--at least for the time being.
