Original plan: stop at Post Office to mail stuff, then go to blood center.

Okay so far--but today my blood decided it didn't want to leave me. It let me know this by not being red enough.

Oh well.

As I was heading home Plan B came to mind, and I went by the turn and on out to WalMart, where I made a beeline for the foot salon.

It was almost empty, and I ended up getting not only a pedicure but also a manicure. I had no wait, and there were two women more or less taking turns working on me. The polish used was clear, so I don't have to be concerned about chips showing up.

Pedicures are (IMHO) hedonistic luxury.

The women recognized me, even though it has been quite a while since I made it out there. And (of course) they said come back soon.

Unless it rains (always a possibiliity) tomorrow will be a New Orleans day.

Shortly after I got home I heard a lawnmower--my neighbor (who for some strange reason LOVES to mow lawns) was mowing down the taller green stuff (grass, weeds, etc.).

I've been thinking about putting in a couple more plants. I'll get some extras for her.

No staying up late tonight--not if I want to get a decent paraking spot tomorrow morning.
