At least I had a good night's sleep, although it was wasted by a disinclination to get involved in any vast projects. (Besides--you shouldn't get involved in vast projects with half-vast ideas.)

So, I mostly did little stuff around the house till mid-afternoon, when I looked at the critter chow level and realized that a visit to the big W might be a good idea.

When I got back there was a raccoon waiting somewhat impatiently for the regular afternoon offering of cat chow.

The only critter feeding left on the daily schedule is tossing out raccoon biscuits after it gets dark.

Based on casual conversations in the pet food section of WalMart, I am by far not the only person who buys food for neighborhood critters.

Going in to work is at the top of my list for tomorrow. The only thing that would change my plans would be rain. And that doesn't seem to be on the local meteorological agenda.

Thank goodness--we have enough water problems with all that Yankee water coming down looking for the Gulf of Mexico.

And there must be a bunch of people around here keeping the beads hot--the weather is gorgeous and dry as a bone. (so far)

So -- another IUD is almost finished. I hope tomorrow is equally IU, at least as far as the weather is concerned.
