(expletive expletive cat--just deleted a full paragraph)

Back to the early part of the day.

I spent a fair part of today typing up the inventory for the first carton. All that's left is e-mailing it to Newcomb. I printed out several hard copies also. One will go into the carton. Another (or maybe two) will go to Newcomb.

I've got two more inventory lists to go. My personal goal is to have them done by Monday--Tuesday at the latest.

When I e-mail the first one to Newcomb I'll include a reminder that I am ready for another batch. One of the remaining inventories will take me a while to type--most of the students are identified by both name and student number.

Today had pleasant weather, with enough cloud cover to keep the outside temperature down to the high 80s, with the low nineties during the peak of the day.

Perhaps my biggest "event" today was talking with my friend in Mobile and settling on a date for a meeting of the Gulf Coast Historical Society.

Said "society" has only two members. We try to meet each other half way, and the Arby's is about midway. They have a fairly large store, but I have never seen it more than about a third full.

I'm hoping I can get to sleep now. I tried a bit earlier but with no luck.

Another reason for getting to bed--I should be ready to drop off as soon as my eyelids close.
