Met a friend for lunch today--in Alabama.

We each drove an hour or so, but it was good to see her again. She was doing grad work at Tulane the same time I was, so I caught her up to date on the various changes and gossip.

She was interested in hearing about my job and how I handle things when it came to providing information about the various files so that they are easily findable with an internet search.

The "lunch" lasted about three hours, but the Arby's we went to was definitely not overcrowded. In fact, we were the only "customers" for about an hour and a half.

My drive home was uneventful.

The cats were glad to see me--after all, I am the magic food provider. (The raccoons were also happy, I presume. They took care of their handouts in record time.)

Unless the weather is really lousy, I'll be going in to Newcomb tomorrow and Friday. I try to put in two days a week--and sometimes more.

(I haven't decided whether to hope for rain or for good weather tomorrow.)
