Well, we made it to New Orleans on time.

I felt a little better about my meanderings last time when YD also got tangled up briefly.

The dr. and I talked, he looked at the X-rays, heard how I managed to break the hip, and he heard my complaints about the type of "follow-up" from the dr. who did the surgery.

He wrote a prescription for non-narcotic pain stuff, and described (in detail) what was involved if I did decide to have surgery.

Not once did he comment on my age and any relation it might have to the way he treated me. Nor did he "talk down" to me.

It turns out that he did a residency(?) in southern Africa, and knew that the hospitals there might not have the most up-to-date equipment, but they they were tops in care, cleanliness, etc.

So, in a few minutes I'll go pick up the prescription at Walgreen's and then run a couple of errands.

(Did I mention that I had a very refreshing "sinking spell" after I got back home?)

So, I'm feeling good about the visit and looking forward to getting back "in the groove" next week workwise.
