Hedonism: "pursuit of or devotion to pleasure."

Also: the pleasure one gets from a foot massage and pedicure.

The latter definition is not in the dictionary, but probably should be.

And the "nail salon" at WalMart was busily delivering that pleasure this morning.

There was one other woman there when I arrived, and she was getting not only a mani/pedicure, but was being professionally made up.

My pedicure was extensive, and included much massaging of legs and feet, as well as the trimming of the overgrown nails and subsequent application of a very pretty shade of rose polish.

The man next to me was also getting a pedicure, but I am pretty sure there was no polish involved there.

A nice way to start a day.

When finished there I found a cart and got a few things from other parts of WalMart.

Once again I was disappointed at the pet food section--only "name" brands available, and not much selection in those.

Is this the case in WalMarts in other parts of the country? Taking the house brand off the shelves?

In my copious free time (family joke phrase) I may do a spot check of other grocery outlets in the area and set up a comparison chart.

At any rate, I finally made it back home and had a short "sinking spell."

I would like to go to work tomorrow, but it will depend on the weather.

And now for an evening of non-intellectually stimulating TV--i.e. Monday Night Football.
