Keeping Track

Trying to keep track of what day it is can sometimes be challenging, especially if one's "routine" gets altered a bit.

But when all else fails I can either dig my phone out of my pocket, take it out of the plastic baggie that protects it from accidental moisture, and see what it has to say.

And we continue with numerical-type names for months that are two digits off from their Latin origins. "Octo" refers to eight--but somehow it's the tenth month in the current calendar. "Etc. etc. and so forth." (And who knows the source of that quote?)

It's been a quiet (translation: dull as dishwater) day.

My plans for tomorrow include going in to work. I think the weather will allow for this, but if it's rainy I'll just wait till it's NOT a rainy day.

And I think that I shall now shut down the computer and go back to the den, where I shall watch mindless TV until my upper eyelids get too heavy to stay up, and then I shall turn out lights and sleep. (I hope.)
