My Incredibly Unremarkable Life

. . . how much I detest this season?

It's full of stuff about big families, etc.

The only family I have is my two kids, their respective spouses, and their kids.

And my two cats, who give me more attention in a day than the humans generally do in a month.

Of course, much of the feline attention is related to me as the source of their food. . . . .

A large part of the loneliness comes from being an only child who married another only child.

Well, only ten days to go until it is all over.

Maybe next year I can figure out out taking a trip somewhere.

I think my cats sense my mood--they're being extra attentive and cuddly.

Look around you--how many other people are in similar situations?
