First order of business today was to get a new purse--one that wasn't falling apart.

I got lucky and found one very similar to its predecessor.

By the time I got back home it was too late to head for church. (I figured that would be the case.)

So--I got in a satisfactory sinking spell.

And then there was a phone call from someone who grew up in the general neighborhood and now has a family with two kids. She's interested in the house that YD owns. She rented it out when she and Jack got married, but those tenants have left and they left the place a huge mess.

So, things are looking up there.

Tomorrow I need to talk to Verizon and get my phone straightend out. It's had a little symbol showing for several weeks. When I asked the Verizon person about it I basically got a "don't worry."

Today however, two phone calls did not ring but vibrated. I can't figure out quite how to switch from vibrate to ring, so I'll swing by there and find out. I don't mind having it on vibrate, as long as it's in my pocket--and especially when I'm in the library. But at home (or in the car) is another story. I tend to keep it on the table near where I sit, rather than have to dig it out of a pocket.

Of course, I get very few calls, so I probably don't need to bother--but it's the principal of the thing. I didn't realize how nice it was to have a gentle announcement of a call until it happened.

Let's see--I've fed the cats, so there are probably a couple of raccoons waiting for their portion on the front porch.

They're cute and well-behaved. They've earned it.
