I finally made it in to Newcomb/Tulane today.

And made some progress on getting the alumni stuff processed and orderly.

By about 2 PM I was ready to head back across the lake.

I go in early--usually getting there before 8 AM, and then leave early. That way I (usually) miss the worst of the traffic tie-ups and slowdowns. I know which lane I need to be in and when I need to get into it.

Of course, when two vehicles try to occupy the same space at the same time, there's not much to be done except try to be patient.

I usually head for home a bit after 3 PM. The interstate doesn't have a lot of school traffic, snd that's a bit early for people in nine to five jobs.

I'll probably work on tracking down sources for archival materials tomorrow, then go in again Friday.

Weather is (at the moment) just gorgeous. Bright and sunny, and pleasantly warm. I don't recall hearing the "r" word on the weather forecast.

That's it for today.
