For those relatively new to this site, I'm not talking about birth control, but the Incredibly Unremarkable Day I've had.

It was hot again, but then it's mid-August in southern Louisiana.

It didn't rain, although the day isn't over yet.

In the morning I went to WalMart for assorted stuff (such as cat food) which needed replenishing. Plus the usual other stuff.

I managed to have a refreshing "sinking spell" (nap) when I got back home.

All in all, a fairly relaxing (albeit hot and sweaty) day.

The raccoons waited patiently for their "supper." They sure like generic dog biscuits. They hold them in their paws while they nibble them down to a size that will fit into their mouths. They do not attempt to eat stuff I put out for the cats (unless the cats ignore it) and are quite polite overall. I make no attempt to get close to the raccoons--after all, they are wild animals and may carry rabies.

Tomorrow looks like another "at home" day. Wednesday and Thursday I have dr. appointments. Wednesday is the hip doctor (in New Orleans)and Thursday my primary care doc. The Wed. appt. is in the morning, and I may make a quick stop at Newcomb to drop off some papers that I may be able to finish typing up by then.

How's that for an exciting week to look forward to!!

I hope that by the end of the month I'm back on a quasi-predictable schedule.
