Where'd I go?

Seriously. I had hopes. I had plans. I'm not talking about the unrealistic, cringe-when-I-remember-them dreams of youth. I'm just talking about a year ago.

Writing. I planned to do some. More than some. I have a few serial and chapter works that are nowhere near resolved. I was hoping to get some more stuff done on those stories. I wanted to finish some of those story arcs, maybe work on new ones.

Writing about writing. There's an old joke, "Those that can, do; those that can't, teach." For a while there, that gave bitter comfort. "The Elsewhere." I wrote about writing. Actually, I was a curmudgeon about writing, especially pop media and how I found fault with the writing in visual media.

Programming. I'm a geek. I always have been a geek. I'll likely always be a geek, as much as I can, at any rate. Time may be passing me by. I've been at work nearly 8 months, and I still feel like I am not up to snuff.

So, where have I been?
