Finding the Best of Yourself

It's easy to find the best of myself. When things around me are at my worst, that's when I look into the coursing river and see (we're talking metaphors here, I know I won't get a reflection unless it's still waters!) myself as I can be, not me as I am, wretched, tired, disheveled.

No, things aren't that bad. Not even close. I'm out from under my deadline (I think.) My mom is having some behavioural issues. I think she's starting to lose it, starting to see it, starting to fear.

Thanks to you out there for some lovely, heartwarming and thought-provoking emails. I love how you all are so quick to leap forward to support one another.

It's been a tiring weekend. I got more sleep than other days, but I'm still sonambutyping. I had better wrap this up before my drool shorts out the keyboard.

Kitten's computer's power connector went south today. She's going to have a hard time with this. We'll replace it, but SpouseKitty has set a limit of $500 for the replacement. Me, I have one major requirement: at least 1GB memory. The two are not exactly mutually exclusive, but damned close. ;(
