I just realized that I am writing these blogs backwards. I start with a theme, then come up with a clever title, and splat out an entry.

Problem is, the entry never quite ends up where I envisioned it at the start. Sometimes I want to be thoughtful, write something for posterity. Other times, I want to write from the heart.

Then, there's times like now when I don't know what to write. I'm not that geeky a geek, as far as geeks go. Then again, where I work, there are some serious geeks. I thought I had met some mega-geeks at my previous job, but ...

Right now, I'm just tired. I'm in the airport, waiting for the flight to board, trying to call my mom again, etc. It's going to be a long flight, a long night and an early morning.

To continue on a theme, I see life as a lesson, and legacy as a chance to help others by passing it along. However, as a mentor reminded me, some lessons cannot be taught, only experienced. Usually, these are the ones that cut the deepest, take the longest to heal.

For me, I am concentrating on a far simpler one. I am choosing to be happy.
Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching.
by Kathy Mattea
It ain't easy, but it's a goal.
