Okay, I am almost caught up -- this one makes the third entry today, and I'm only one behind. Does anyone read multiple blog entries in the same day?

For me, I want to look back and say, "Yes, I wrote something approximately once a day." I know not every one will be a memorable piece. Some will be what my mentor calls 'meta-work' -- when I'm working to organize my work flow, or to load new tools, or otherwise doing stuff that isn't directly related to my job.

One of the time management seminars called it "Sharpening the Saw." The allegory goes like this: if a carpenter never tends to his tools, his output will go down as his tools get dull. We all need to take time out from work to look at how we work, to improve what we need to improve in order to work better.

I'm sure many of my beginning blog entries will be meta-blogging. I'll just be trying to find my legs. I'll likely be asking questions (such as, "Does anyone read multiple blog entries in the same day?") Hopefully, I'll maintain the discipline to write something every day over time.

However, if no one is reading this, then it takes a little bit of pressure off. ;)
