Work is going nuts. I've been with this product a year and a half, and it's been a fairly crazy year and a half. I'm being told to replace someone who's been with the product nine years. Four before the product (and startup) was purchased by the current company, another five afterwards.

My manager is not sure what he did, not sure what I can do, not sure where the two overlap. He's also not quite sure what the customer expects/requires us to do. I'm going to need to push him to deliver to our service agreement, not to what he thinks we should do.

All I know is that I'm now working 11 hours a day, and am utterly stressed. I have no effin' idea how I can even begin to replace someone who has that much experience. And I'm worried that people will expect me to do so.

Thank you all for the good wishes with my mom, hugs, candles and encouraging words. Can I ask you all to spare another set for this front?

Thanks and hugs.
