(Or, one last post before the month rolls around.)

A lot of stuff going on in this little Kitty mind. I'm just going to yak it up like the hairball it is.

The year is drawing to a close. I'm about half my life expectancy, if you believe standard trivia books. With my heart, I don't know if I believe that. I have so much I want to do, so much I need to do (and so much I need to prioritize out of what I want to do...)

I'm seriously spent. My team at work has something that will show up at PDC, a seriously-high-powered geek show-and-tell, and we've been slaving over it.

The first anniversary of my mom's death is coming up. I still need to fill out the paperwork to get my father's remains up here as well so they can be together. Strangely, it's not their wishes, nor mine. It's that damned sense of duty, the knowledge that this is what my mother wanted in spite of her saying otherwise.

I still haven't gone through all her papers, either. Then again, I can't read Chinese, and she didn't write in English. I suspect these papers will be kept in case someone comes rushing up with some urgent request, but otherwise left untouched.

My muse still exists, but she's not omnipresent. Or, at least my writing muse. As I wrote in a comment on netta's blog, I've been visited by more muses since I last touched Sian than just the erudite one.

The programming one is probably the most beneficial and compelling. I have found some tasks at work that are both challenging (read: intellectually rewarding to me) and well-regarded by my team.

Lots more stuff, but I'm too scattered to focus on recounting them all. Maybe a little later.
