(For those readers not American non-felon citizens, please pardon the socio-centric nature of this post.)

First and most obvious, go vote. If you haven't voted, you've squandered the one tiny chance we have to make our voice heard. I don't care if you vote for the other party, I don't care if you vote for the opposite choice on the initiative or proposition. I only care that you go vote.

It'd be nice if you vote the same way I do, however. =)

Second, my predictions for Wednesday:

Chaos. Cacophony. Allegations of chicanery. It will be a very tight election. Fingers will fly everywhere, some pointed in accusation, others flipped in affront.

Where Republicans win, the Democrats will claim voter suppression. ID requirements, misleading mailers, election monitors committing intimidation.

Where Democrats win, the Republicans will point to Acorn, or other causes of voter fraud. Felons, migrants, or pure and simple multiple votes.

Both will leap on absentee ballots, either early voters, or those serving in the military, especially overseas. An easy-enough-to-imagine nightmare scenario is a delay in mail causing ballots postmarked before Tuesday to appear only after the winner has been declared.

Of course, we wouldn't dare deny someone honourably serving our country hir vote, especially if it was postmarked by date. Oh, but what if someone claims that the postmarks were incorrectly applied?

Either way, there will much hot air.
