"Dad, what's it like over there?"

"Ain't too bad. My arthritis don't bother me none anymore."

"Is Auntie Mildred with you?"

"We're all here. Even your grand-pappy, who you never got to meet."

"Can I see him?"

"It don't work that way, son. Ain't my rules, but ..."

"Well, ..."

"Yeah, what to say? At least you're not hounding me for my will or nothing."

"Huh?"

"That's the reason most folk make contact - need to find a will, or money or a stash of something."

"I miss you. We still keep your ship model dusted."

"That old thing? It don't matter to me. I'm just glad to see you all grown and successful-like. That what matters."

"You'd be proud of Missy, too. She's got this business in town, selling cakes."

"I'm proud of the lot of you all. But, got any last words? Visiting hours are almost over."

"Visiting hours? You make it sound like a hospital or a jail."

"It ain't much different. See you in ten years."
