The party was goooood. I got to spend a lot of time talking to my editor Juliet, which was wonderful. (She also told me that the changes she wants made to Blood Engines are minor, mostly just line edits and some cuts, so, whoo!) Heather posted a Flickr set of photos, so you can see what fun we had. I didn't even get apocalyptically drunk!

The weekend was otherwise very quiet. Saturday I slept late and messed around with my story, as discussed in the previous entry, and didn't do much else before heading into San Francisco (in the pouring rain!) for the Night Shade party. Sunday was even quieter. A little reading, a little writing, watching some TV. Nothing fancy. We ate good sandwiches and pasta from the deli last night, with some lemon sorbet for dessert. Mmm. I didn't write at all on Sunday (well, except for my weekly sex-on-the-net column). I did leave the house, but only just barely (does taking out the trash count?). The weekend was a nice mix of socializing, relaxing, and getting work done, actually. I feel pretty balanced and peaceful today, which is remarkable for a Monday morning. Of course, the day is young...
