So I am in a ridiculously silly-type good mood this evening, which is funny, because this morning I was in a navy blue, four-letter word type mood. I hate trying to find a parking space when it's just snowed; it's either drive your car into a snow drift and maybe not be able to come out again, or sit halfway out in the street and possibly lose your side mirrors to oncoming traffic. That's not the only reason I was in a bad mood, but it didn't help. And the main reason for my mood switch is so unbelievably shallow and pathetic that I almost don't want to reveal it on the Internet. But, heck, what's a blog for?

See about an hour after I got to work this morning, an IT guy shows up to update the operating system on my boss's computer. A very cute, can't-be-that-much-older-than-me IT guy. And because my boss's computer happens to be the one that I use for most tasks, I had to just amuse myself organizing the piles of stuff that had accumulated around the office, and since he had to just sit there a lot while the computer did various installation things, we talked. Whether or not I ever even see him again, this is a big deal for me, actually having a conversation with a guy I've just met.

So then I had to go to a meeting, and the meeting was at the apartment of a friend of mine who is rooming with another guy I know through SLC. We had workshop together last semester, and we've talked quite a bit, but this time we were definitely flirting, not just talking about class or our work. I was a little more dressed up than I normally am because of said meeting (I was trying to look "editorial" -- long story), and, well let's just say I could tell it did not go unappreciated.

Shallow and pathetic, right? But you know, everybody needs to know they are appealing to the opposite (or same, if that's what you're after) sex once in awhile, whether it's from a significant other or a cute IT guy and a classmate. And since I'm still in dating deep freeze, I'll take my ridiculously silly good mood from whence I can get it.
