*clears throat*

Sus is coming to visit on Memorial Day! Hooray!

Someone is pregnant! I don’t know if she wants me to spread it all over the Internet so I’m not even using her pseudonym! Hooray!

*sighs*

Well, that’s the good stuff. That and the Cardinals rock, as usual – even when we don’t win.

We are putting on a major workshop at work in two weeks, and we spent the first twenty minutes of the staff meeting today coming up with a strategy to sort my boss’s mail. Then Em and I had to break it to him that the reason the tech people who are helping us with the workshop are not doing what he wants them to do is he never actually told them that’s what he wants. He’s a very smart man, and my favorite boss ever (well, excepting my dance school teacher back in my assistant ballet instructor days) but sometimes he gets a little too hung up on the ideas and forgets about the practicalities.

I’m writing stuff. It’s an improvement over writing nothing.

I downloaded a new ringtone for my phone. If people ask what it is, I can either be cool and say it’s the Dandy Warhols “We Used to Be Friends” or I can be honest and admit it’s the theme song to you know what. Somebody call me so I can hear it!

My federal tax refund check came this week. In New York, I can actually have my state refund direct deposited. How come everyone isn’t doing that? It would save a LOT of paper. Not to mention cut down on checks getting lost or stolen.

They made me (well not me particularly, everyone on my train) get off the D train TWICE this morning because of emergency changes in the route – only to tell us to get back on both times. We went the normal route, I was half an hour late to work, and I probably could have been fifteen minutes late if they’d just figured out what was going on before telling everyone to get off the train. I’d be madder about this, except I’ve already told this story to two people today and it worked off my indignation.

Yeah, that’s all I’ve got.
