Remember how I wasn't cleaning the apartment last week? Yeah, so I am now -- instead of another Battery Park movie with Yan and probably not the Six Feet Under gathering tomorrow. Where was everyone last week when I was procrastinating?

I did get the kitchen and bathroom scrubbed down last night so now the only major thing left is to vaccuum/mop the floors. But I also need to clean out the fridge, take the cans to the recycling thingy(provided that it's open, which it won't be because it never is when I actually try to go there), and hit Target for some razors and drugs (not as harmful as it sounds, obviously). Oh, and if there's time, do the last tiny bit of finishing on my knitted top and whip up those new living room curtains.

On the plus side, I only have one more full day of work this week.

Funny(ish) story: I'm a tea drinker, especially in the winter, so I've been looking for a sugar bowl for months. But all the ones I've been able to find so far have been ugly, expensive, or come as part of a set with a creamer -- which I don't need because I am not now or will ever be a coffee drinker.

Well, when I moved in to my apartment (almost exactly one year ago), there was this weird little brown ceramic thing sitting on one of the cabinets, I think it was left behind by the old residents. It kind of looked like a potpourri bowl, and I just put my spice rack in front of it and forgot about it. I think you're smart enough to realize what it took me until LAST NIGHT to figure out. Yes, I have had a free (albeit weird looking), perfectly functional sugar bowl in my apartment all this time. (And it was clean inside, too, although I washed it again just to be safe.) Yes, I am a doofus.
