Another Tuesday, Another Veronica Mars Pre-Emption

This. Sucks.

But at least my day wasn't bad as Emm's, who was taking a half vacation day to finish her last paper (she's working full time and is a part time grad student) which turned into an almost full day, while a 10-alarm warehouse fire was taking place two blocks from her apartment. She emailed me halfway through the day that "Veronica Mars is the only reason I'm not bursting into tears right now."

I didn't have the heart to tell her.

Next week is the season finale -- and I have ballet tickets. (In my defense, VM was still on Wednesdays when I bought them. Not that I'm such a Marsaholic that I wouldn't have bought them anyway.) I promise not to complain about any pre-emption, unless somebody accidentally ruins any big twists for me. (Ahem, Dad. Lucky for you nobody really dies on Alias.) So just be forewarned. And if anyone feels the need to email me about the episode, put a warning in the subject heading this time.

I know this is a very small problem. Most of my feelings on the larger problems in this world are at the moment a)unprintable b)incoherent c)contributing to my insomnia if I think about them too much. You'll just have to live with the compartmentalizing.

On the positive side, I've finally -- and I really mean it this time -- found an ending to the Story of a Thousand Endings. It took a massive rewrite, including a complete restructuring of the timeline, but I've got it. Really. Really really. So this day wasn't all bad.
