OK, Fine I'll Tell You

Wow, if I had known posting a vague teaser about forthcoming information as my Facebook status would get me that much attention I would have done it sooner.

So, some of you may have seen it by now, but I've been invited to join the blog Ladies..., where I'll be posting every Friday, starting today. If you aren't familiar with the site, you will notice it has two particular themes, namely 1)sports and 2)hot guys who play those sports. I know some of you out there won't be that interested in one or both of those themes and that's okay. But I already have nine (OK, eight if I don't count my own reply) comments on my post over there, which is almost as many comments as I get over here in a year. So it's nice to be blogging for a larger audience, is what I'm saying.

I'm still slogging away at work. We're moving offices -- just a different area on the same floor, which you think would actually be easier than moving to a completely different building, but no. Especially when the IT department will disconnect your computer, and reconnect your computer in the new location, but will not actually physically help you move the computer. And we can't disconnect and move the computer in advance because there's apparently some network thing involved. Now take that situation and multiply it by 5, and add in transferring an equal number of phone lines, and the file cabinets that must be emptied so they can be moved fifty feet and then refilled with the same contents. Ah, Bureaucracy, how I love thee.

Sports non-sequitur: I knew Sherman Alexie was a Sonics fan, but somehow it took this piece (via TrueHoop for me to fully appreciate that my home state just stole Sherman Alexie's basketball team! Sherman Alexie! The man who has written some of the best basketball related fiction I have ever read (ironically, most of it borrowed from a library not half an hour from where his team will now play). I need to go see if I have my copy of The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven here or if I need to get my mother to find it and send it to me.
