Music: Punk-o-Rama Epitaph Its been a pretty annoying day today thus far. I wouldnt normally begrudge my office partner a day off, but its clear from what Ive had to deal with today that he knew this was all coming in yesterday. Yet there is no note of warning or instruction. So Im winging it. Hope I dont mess anything up. That would be a shame. Really. * * * Hopefully today will be the day Pretty Maggie and I pick up a second cat (knock-on-wood). Oh, its going to be a mess. Knocked over shelves, garbage cans, cups. But itll be fun, and Nemo will enjoy the company. * * * The latest freelance project, the Bickersons book, is steaming along. I did a basic layout of the text last night. Tonight Im going to format the scripts and address some typographic issues, and insert the photos over the next couple of days after that. With luck Ill have a first draft turned back in by Sunday evening. (Although tonight I also have to tweak the SFWA mailing list file and e-mail that to the printers. Busy busy!) Writing and drawing? Havent done too much lately, and I really need to. I have a number of projects in various stages now, sitting frozen on my laptop, waiting for me to tackle them. Ill have to see what I can do about that. One time-eater lately has been me doing a lot of reading. Aside from devouring the latest New Yorker and perusing Charles Bukowskis short stories, I went and started the third Harry Potter book. This is sort of interesting in that its the first HP book Ive read without seeing the movie version. Ive seen some previews which dont give out many (if any) details, so Im using my imagination as the writer hoped in picturing the events, rather than playing them off memories of a movie screen. And the books continue to be well-written. * * * No link today. No time to find one and post at the same time. Why dont yall send me your links this time. There ya go! Cheers!
