This first shot is coming up over the dune onto the beach. I love the way the sun was shining through the clouds, the dune grass was blowing and the sand on the dunes was smooth from all of the wind.


These are the machines being used to dredge and replenish the beach; no doubt what our poor shark friend encountered at some point. You can see they built up the sand very high, before the storm, so that when the sand was washed back out into the ocean the equipment wasn't taken with it.
Even before the beach replenishment, our beach is usually twice this size.

Here's the man yelling at us. "I better not see you around here again!" Gee, I'm sorry. I always thought the beach was public. There weren't any signs posted saying keep away and we weren't anywhere near the damn machines. Besides the fact, unless you wanted to get wet, you had to walk over the built up sand to get to the other side. Ass!





This is one of the walk ways between the dunes. If you look at the highest point of the sand, between the fence posts, you can see just how much sand is there. These fences are about 4 feet high. That's how much sand was moved around, between the wind and the waves.
