lazy day

this weekend was quiet. at home anyway. work was busy, but i was expecting that. we were busier on friday than we were on saturday, which for us is unusual. seeing as everyone comes down for the holiday weekend, usually after the holiday, everyone does the black friday mall thing, then comes to us on saturday. oh well, not like it mattered because we still had a good weekend.

matt went up to annapolis friday until today. he watched the terps game yesterday with a bunch of his friends, then went to the ravens / steelers game today.

i stayed home and packed and wrote and watched the ravens kick some serious ass!

hoo doggy!!! 9-2 baby. and we shut out the steelers. regardless of whether the steelers are having a good season or not, a game against them is never a gimme. today it was! theirs is a major rivalry and i was loving every minute of it. i stayed home and watched the game with heap. every time todd heap makes a catch and everyone starts yelling heeeeaaaaappp!!!!! the dog looks around like why are you all calling my name?

i've been battling some sort of stomach thing since thursday, so that's why i decided to stay home. besides, someone had to be here to blow the air horn every time the ravens scored ;-)

well, in case anyone was wondering, the reason i was packing is because we go to settlement on the new house a week from tomorrow! eek! i cannot wait! talk about a major birthday present. although it means i won't be getting much for myself as far as presents go. they'll all be 'house' presents. oh well, once you hit 30 birthdays are for the birds, right? ( for the record, this'll be my first after 30. i'm just getting in the mind set).

mom told me today she and ps are coming up for christmas. it's gonna be great. and i think we might have a new years party. i had thought about doing a birthday / holiday / housewarming party, but that's probably pushing it, even though the house is in perfect condition and we really don't have a ton of stuff to move.

ok, back to nanoing. hope everyone had a great weekend!
