There is no diet Pepsi vanilla

Once again, I went to the grocery store looking for diet Pepsi Vanilla, and there was no diet Pepsi vanilla to be had. Waah. Where is my totally artificial zero calorie vanilla cola-y goodness? I had to content myself with diet Pepsi Twist, and full-sugar Pepsi vanilla (which will probably be too sweet, but what the heck), and chocolate soy milk.

I also got to remind myself why I never go grocery shopping on Sunday afternoons. The Andronico's parking lot was full, so I went to Safeway. They make the aisles too narrow at Safeway, and often stack things in them, so I got to do a little shopping cart demolition derby. It took me 40 minutes to find and pay for what I needed (and I was buying soda pop, soy milk, toilet paper, shoelaces, and chocolate), and the store was full of bad-tempered people who were berating all the clerks because they wanted things that weren't in stock. Feh.

At least it wasn't as hot today as it was yesterday. Yesterday, I couldn't stand to stay in the apartment. Today, I did laundry, and typed up the story I finished yesterday. Daniel read it and chuckled in the right places. So, I sent it off to the group.

I did a little aimless web surfing, and made the aforementioned ill-fated grocery run. In a little while, Daniel and I will go have Zachary's pizza with Marissa and Mark and, hopefully, Timprov. There are probably things on earth that are finer than a deep dish pizza and the company of friends, but not very many of them.
