The great moving project lurches forward. Poor Daniel - he's doing 80% of the work, I think, being the one who's at home all day. I do what I can, and offer moral support in the form of chocolate and anime DVD's.

I finished Ellen Kushner and Delia Sherman's The Fall of the Kings last night. Fun. Very different from Swordspoint. (And if Ellen and/or Delia ever want to write a novel about Jessica Tremontaine, I woud line up to buy it. Of course, I'd probably line up to buy anything by Ellen and/or Delia at this point, but, I'm just sayin....) I am now trying to decide what to read next. Probably I'll finish off the tail ends of a few magazines and anthologies. I've got a lot of backlogged short fiction. In fact, I could probably spend the next six months reading nothing but short fiction, but I'm sure that the growing stack of novels to be read will tempt me away before then.

Or maybe I'll give Pratchett's Monstrous Regiment a whirl. (That conjures up images of doing unkind things to a small army of eldritch toy soldiers. Whirl! Whirl.)
