I really dig this story I saw over on John Scalzi's By The Way: apparently AOL recently won a big court case against a spammer, and they got his Porsche Boxster as part of the settlement. So, they're giving it away in a spam-reporting sweepstakes. It's almost enough to make me wish I were an AOL member.

(You know, as soon as I typed that, I half expected to hear the clang of a dozen AOL free-trial CDs hitting my mailbox. AOL is like some sleeping demon - you don't want to say its name, lest it awake and inform you that you've got mail!)

Work got kind of weird today. My deadlines are moving all over the place - one project is suddenly due a lot sooner, and another will be due rather later. Fortunately, in this case, I'd anticipated some of the deadline shuffling, so the next few days are merely going to be a bit exciting.

It's actually good, in a way, since I had a lot of deadlines that were bunching up at the end of May, and now they'll be spread out more. Unless, of course, they all move again.

Well, on that note, I'm off to bed. Gotta get up bright and early and tame some recalcitrant HTML help tommorow.
