Daniel and I both came down food-poisoning or some other such nasty Monday night. Blah. I'll spare you the details - let's just say that both of us were up until the wee hours Tuesday morning. I called in sick to work, and spent most of Tuesday sleeping or watching DVDs, and drinking gingerale.

When I got up this morning, I was able to eat solid food again and it didn't hurt to move, so I went to work. I still felt rather tired and spacey, though. Which was perhaps not the best state in which to have a preliminary yearly review meeting with my boss (particularly one in which I'd been planning on asking for a promotion.) However, the meeting went fine. (My boss didn't make any firm promise on the promotion, because she doesn't yet know what kinds of requirements or constraints the higher ups might place on the whole business. But she made it quite clear that she's in favor of it in principle.)

Yay.

And I'm still feeling tired and spacey, so I think I'm going to have a little something to eat, and then go watch another DVD or something.
