Whew! This is the first weekend since we've moved that Daniel and I have not had any parties, dinners, science fiction conventions, or other social engagments to attend, so I'm taking the opportunity to really make a dent in the domestic chores.

So far, I have:

• Paid all the outstanding bills.


• Cleaned up and reassembled three bookshelves which Daniel and I purchased from Scandinavian Designs in Berkeley lo these many years ago. They hadn't been cleaned for lo these many years, but they cleaned up nicely.


• Located the nearest laundromat and did two loads of laundry there.

What I hope to accomplish yet this weekend:

• Call Lowe's and see when they are going to deliver our washer and dryer.


• Make significant headway on unpacking the kitchen.


• Determine whether or not I can make the wireless adapter that Daniel purchased at Fry's work on our Airport network. If not, take it back to Fry's and exchange it for something that will work.


• Unpack the rest of my office supplies before I succumb to the temptation to simply go out and buy more.
