And he's just one of your co-workers. (No romantic intent here. He just wants me for my FrameMaker skills.)

About 20 minutes ago, I got a call from the receptionist here at work, letting me know that I had a delivery of flowers. She assured me that they were the nicest flowers anyone in the building had received today. I can believe it. Daniel picks good flowers. (I never should have told him how all my female co-workers commented on the flowers he sent me last year. It only encourages him.)

Daniel called to let me know that he's picking me up at 7:00 p.m. for a surprise dinner.

I'm feeling a little embarrassed that I didn't get sufficiently organized to make any grand romantic gestures today. (I suppose I should be glad that I nixed my plan to make secret dinner reservations somewhere that Daniel would enjoy.) Though, really, when it comes to Valentine's Day, it's pointless to try to match Daniel in the grand romantic gestures department. I save that kind of thing for his birthday.

So, for today, I guess I'll just have to feel a little embarrassed, and a lot loved.
