Strange Dreams

Had the strangest dream just before waking up. There were a couple of teenage vampire girls who were anxious to hang out with me, because they wanted my advice on something. (This seems improbable to begin with.) But I had to leave, because my grandparents were unexpectedly in town.

The vampire girls were (surprisingly) understanding about family obligations, but looked very disappointed at not having my company.

"We'll go get a cup of coffee sometime," I said.

Vampire girl #1 rolled her eyes. "Unlikely."

"Why?" I said. And then, "Oh," as I realized.

She nodded. "I don't drink coffee."

"Well, I mostly drink green tea these days," I said, and wandered across the street to the porch of a Victorian house, where a long table was set up with lots of my family gathered around it. And I couldn't find my placecard. Every time I found an empty seat, there was a card with someone else's name on it, and a note saying "Wendy, your seat is ---->" And the table kept getting longer, and everyone else was waiting for me to sit down so dinner could begin.

And then I woke up.

I bet the dream interpreter types would have a field day with that one.
