A summery of Your Favorite Annoying T...

Hello, I am YFAT or Lo. I have been writing/around on Journal Scape for over a decade now. Time flies! This journal chronicles my random thoughts, high moments and sometimes low, throughout high school, college, and now beyond, into the world of "adulthood", whatever that means.

Sinerely, ~Lo

Letting It End- Self Defense

After talking to a few friends and my mom I am decisively giving up Self-Defense for the semester.
I am not taking the class for credit and it stresses me out more than it helps me at this point. I have resolved to not take any bullshit this year and at this time it is all that class has become. I shouldn't be reduced to a sensory overload attack this early in the semester and I shouldn't have to be the bitch that keeps people on task and in order. I am not the instructor.

I think I will save my martial arts for the great studio I found at home. I have had conflicts with Kevin and Jake for far too long now. As proud as I am of being a dedicated person it isn't worth it anymore. It is similar to my break up with Ben- I've tried to before but I really need to make it for real to do what is best for my well being. It causes more mental stress than I need. After a wait I will move on to something amazing.
This is for real this time.

I think instead I am going to make a resolution to go walking everyday again. Maybe I'll hike some of the area landscapes. I can train my body without needing them.

This weekend my plans are to throw myself into my thesis (had a ton of books come in). Tonight I am having an evening out with some friends and then am back on campus to finish the night with a few other ladies. I am also getting a haircut at last! I have been feeling on the shaggy side and am looking forward to the trim.

Now I'm off to attack homework and thesis for the morning.
Peace.
~Lo
