Cross Country with Susan Branch .. hop on board!
Susan Branch - an amazing woman, author, artist, cook, writer, traveler-extraordinaire, and blogger.
Susan and her husband Joe just traveled from the East-est of the country, Martha's Vineyard, where they live, by train (Amtrak) across this big country to California where they are visiting relatives and having a 3-week adventure. She has done a very amusing and photographic entry in her blog about the trip from East to West, and so I am sharing it with you.

Having just read her book, A Fine Romance - Falling in Love with the English Countryside this past summer, I have only just "met" Susan, but she never fails to delight with her blogs and her artwork and her many talents. Her home on Martha's Vineyard is just incredible and lovely. She likes to share it all with her "girlfriends" (us), and I am so glad I found her.
Go have a look at an interview Susan did for an online magazine called Celebrating Everyday Life, which gives you a good idea of what this woman is all about!
Susan does all the artwork herself in her many books, including handwriting all of the text! A huge undertaking but done with so much joy - it will infect you as it has me!
You could spend a lifetime investigating all the links and nooks and crannies on her web site, so save it for when you have some time, but this trip across the country is quite lovely and doesn't take too long to read through. Most of the space you will see on this page, at the bottom, include all the loving comments from her readers!
