I just finished dining al fresco with my sweetie, out in the screened-in cabana that we have built on our back deck. Never has a simple bowl of linguine with clam sauce (15 minutes to make, including peeling the garlic) and a glass of Pinot Grigio tasted so good!

Earlier in the day, WonderGirl had six friends over to study for finals, which are next week at Pretentious High School. The house and yard were filled with the laughter of Freshpersons on the cusp of Sophomorehood. I think more fun happened than academic pursuit. I don't care-every last one of them is an honor student, they'll do fine.

Then she and OEH went birthday shopping for me. I already got my present--this laptop I am blogging on--but they went to get me a cake and some ingredients for tomorrow's birthday dinner.

CTA stopped by with his current girlfriend, Mystery Girl,to grab the fishing tackle. I guess they are fishing this evening. If that is what the kids are calling it these days.

It was beautiful today--70's, breezy, and sunny. The AC is off, the ceiling fans are on, and the windows are open. If I had finished my sermon by 2:00 the day would have been perfect.

All in all, a very good day.
