In my opinion, a relationship requires both people be caring, honest, loyal and trustworthy. As well as friendly, kind and sweet. Compassionate and understanding of the other person's needs but not sacrificing your own needs is important, too (like visiting your friends and family, eating, sleeping, taking a shower, etc). A loving agreement on what the partner wants and what you want, whether it's kisses and/or hugs (or just plain making out and/or sex-any way you both agree on).

Now me, I prefer kissing, hugging and making out. I crave sex, but not the problems in a relationship like fighting. And both people complimenting each other on a job well done in a relationship or small things like their personality strengths and/or their beauty. Loving the person the way they are is important too. Showing concern for their well-being whether they are in a bad situation is important too, as well as trying to help them out (if you can).
